Many wonder why we continue to experience brutal cold snaps across the country, even as the global climate warms. Colin will explain this phenomenon, as well as share evidence that shows that the climate is in crisis regardless of extreme local weather evidence to the contrary. He will also offer discussion of how to talk to people about the science behind the climate crisis and how it affects them personally, in addition to how we can all make a difference as individuals as well as collectively.
Climate scientist Dr. Colin Evans received his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University in 2022 and currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Northeast Regional Climate Center.
