Anna Woofenden and Derrick Weston will discuss their book “The Just Kitchen: Invitations to Sustainability, Cooking, Connection, and Celebration” and the ways that food connects us to God’s Creation. This conversation will highlight the ways that little decisions about what we eat, how we cook, and where our food comes from can push back against a broken food system.

SPEAKER BIOS

Derrick Weston is the director of theological education and formation at Creation Justice Ministries and a steering committee member of Presbyterians for Earth Care living outside of Baltimore, Maryland.

Anna Woofenden is a parent, spouse, and priest. She is the founding pastor of the Garden Church in San Pedro, California, as well as the founder

of Feed and Be Fed Farm. Now living in Easthampton, Massachusetts, with her husband and daughter, Anna is the priest/rector at St. John’s Episcopal Church.  She is passionate about spirituality, justice, food, the earth, and community, and is driven by a calling to reimagine church.
